About ☀️ Bondi Media

Media may suck, so we self-inform with opinionated (and sometimes 🤭 satirical) posts on various topics of interest — all in an attempt to understand what's really going on in the 🌏 world and the local, beautiful 👙 Bondi basin!

To borrow from developer Joel Hooks, our approach is to publish thoughts and opinions freely and without premeditation — creating better resources for ourselves from — what the original owners of Sydney the Gadigal people called Iora — this place — which is ours, for us, by us.

We don’t speak … We operate a machine called language. It creaks and groans, but is our own. Dune Messiah, Frank Herbert.

Returning to your own place/space has positive potential — writing as a way to improve. Then, learning more about whatever you'd like. So, this isn't really a blog but more like a digital garden where we've planted some informatory seedlings to help us try and navigate this whacky zany kooky mixed-up world — seeing what works — and all with a view to the best beach in Sydney!

The world is held together — really it is held together — by the love and the passion of a very few people. James Baldwin.

We've learned lots from reading reading and watching online. But, as others have said, writing and doing is what makes up learning. Writing posts can cement new concepts in your brain. And with learning by doing as well — repeatedly — you can learn almost anything with practice and training. 😓

… one of the main premises of a digital garden is learning in public. When you put your thoughts and ideas for others to see, they're open, the ideas, for criticism. At the same time, they're open to changes and growth. You can revisit your entry after a few months, and change it, so it resembles your current state of knowledge. Jaku Iwanowski.

So, if you think that it's never too late to learn something new and that the only thing more ridiculous than royalty is religion (and that religion is the basis of all moral evil) or that there's nothing remotely fucking democratic about billionaires — and that you should be ruthlessly intolerant of intolerance — then you are welcome to have a read. If not, then just fuck off 🖕 forever with your foul fucking god and your cunt fucking kids.

Write like your opinion matters, even if it doesn’t. Paul Byrnes, Film critic.

There be heaps typos, too!

Rando …

Julian Assange would have been relatively better off if his crime had involved child molestation. Instead he, and others, exposed the hypocritcal evils of the 😂 ‘land of the free and home of the brave’ 🇺🇸 via the Collateral Murder video about 2007's Baghdad airstrike. Team America, which brought you stupefying carnage in Korea, Viet Nam, Middle East and the world ad infinitum, and has interfered with more sovereign democracy than the Soviet Rugby Union, talks impotent shit (the only thing they are actually world champions at) and believes in nothing but god, greed and guns. Dumfuckitstan indeed …

Update on Assange, 26 June 2024

Looks like it's over because Assange is free. Of course, the cweepy chwistians complained as former US VP moron Mike Pence said that it's not important that brave US military heros murdered unarmed civilians (including two journalists) and children — but that WikiLeak's leaking of classified documents could have endangered American lives is what is really important.

Be alert to those using the term ‘western civilisation’ — a racist trope devaluing anything not from some place called ‘the west’, anything that's different or non-conforming to the hegemony of conservative (usually white) cunts.

And, be even more alert to anyone claiming something called ‘god’ has a ‘plan’ for them because they can be even bigger cunts — self obsessed dullards whose feelings are more important than demonstrable facts.

Is Bill Gates a rock spider because his besty was? Dunno, ask his ex.

While Ben ‘Killa’ Roberts-Smith isn't a war hero — he does owe Yumi ‘Slinky’ Stynes 🦸🏻‍♀️ an apology because he be dumber than Craig ‘Creepy’ McLachlan or Bruce ‘Sweaty Rape Boi’ Lehrmann. OK, maybe not dumber than Brucey.

White Power

@nma.gov.au

Edmund Barton (Australia's first PM, above) installed the White Australia policy and thought Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, African and Asian immigrants and other people of colour were not fully human. He was an educated cunt not worth knowing — and most Australians don't. 👏

Australian conservatives long for their reactionary dream to be realised — for Robert ‘Me Cunt’ Menzies to return from the dead and help restore their beloved dream-time 1950s. In the meantime, they drag out the next best morally deaf thing — serial liar, alleged war criminal and all round dogrooter — John ‘Coward’ Howard and his dodgy racist heroThe Don.

The public must be re-educated to believe that private enterprise is entitled to rewards as long as it obeys fair and reasonable rules laid down by Government. Don ‘Right is Right’ Bradman. Conservative cunt & cricketer.

By the way, who amongst us has not betrayed something more important than a country? As the saying goes, ‘Better a lamp post in Bondi than mayor of Melbourne’ but … hope should always defeat hate.

@bondi

Labor arrogance complacency and stupidity (no one should ever forget their celebratory lunch — the day before the 2019 federal election) can be a worry but the Liberals are effectively made up of unpleasant angry and disaffected men alongside some incredibly dumb women — heaps more of the former, but — heaps fucking more.

The intimately aligned Nationals are also equally mendacious cunts and whackjobs and all with a goal of defending the dispossession of the original owners of Australia by wholesome hard-working country folk — and scones.

Combine these cunty cohorts together and you've got the … C🪨al-ition!

The most fundamental mistake of man is that he thinks he knows what’s going on. Nobody knows what’s going on. George Orwell.
